This shirt is essential for trips to very hot and sunny places! We actually used it as a Florida swim shirt for my 6 month old. Since then he's used it both poolside and in California. Great shirt and holds up very well! It's so light and breathable that my son doesn't sweat. It dries super fast and is easy to wash. The bag is adorable, although most kids that age would never use it. The workmanship is very good, not a single seam has come undone. I found the sleeves a bit short but that may be because my son is very tall. Now he's 16 months old and it still fits him, although it's getting quite short in the sleeve and torso. A chubby baby would have outgrown him much sooner I think. I would only go up the size because I prefer a looser fit on stuff like this and you don't want your arms and back exposed as sun protection is at stake here. I will probably buy him a size 18-24 months for his upcoming holiday. Works really well on days in and out of the water as it dries quickly when worn and you don't need to use as much sunscreen. Simply apply sunscreen to exposed areas and let the shirt do its job. Also a big plus. EASY to remove when wet! Great bonus when dealing with a wet and possibly crying/tired/hungry baby.
