The sweatpants were the perfect purchase for my athletic 8 year old boy. He is tall for his age at 4ft 6in / 4ft 7in, around 60lbs and the size SMALL was the best choice for us. No doubt he can wear them all winter, climbing, crawling, wrestling, playing football and basketball, biking and more in running shorts, and they've passed the test he put them through. We've washed them 3 times now and the inside is still holding up, no pilling or loss of softness. Unlike some other brands, there was no foreign smell from the packaging either.
