Review on Logitech G305 Lightspeed: The Ultimate Wireless Gaming Mouse by Hemant Negi ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Product satisfying the quality of the product, good price.

Unfortunately, I could not find a replacement for the old m705 at an affordable price, which, judging by the reviews, also deteriorated in the new version of Logitech (double clicks + one button removed). In addition, I was no longer satisfied with her permission. The Logitech software for it deteriorated and refused to start. In the presence of a keyboard, the K800 looked at the products of the same company in order not to produce dongles. But with its products for 5 years there was a degradation in terms of ergonomics and quality of materials and a transition to another incompatible protocol. For decent devices, the price is raised to impossibility. In fairness, it should be noted that other manufacturers have gone the same way. Therefore, I had to accept and choose this device, in the hope that it would not ruin the work with the keyboard. As a result, the mouse is working. I don't like how it lies in my hand, but I can put up with it. In the Software, you can set up 4 fixed DPIs, the values of which will be written to the mouse, and then switch between them without software. This was for me a decisive factor for me in choosing her.

Pros
  • I liked the ability to quickly change the DPI (4 fixed values configurable through the application) by pressing a button on the mouse. It works for quite a long time on one battery in the mode of mainly office work with a rare game mode.
Cons
  • The quality of materials is too cheap. The mouse is very light for me, without shifting the center of gravity to the surface. The buttons are quite loud and hard. The wheel is not rubber, but plastic. Lack of receiver protocol backwards compatibility with logitech unifying.
