In the end I sent them back.

There are "instructions" in the box to install the correct software. It takes you to their website which is incredibly outdated and I couldn't find it anywhere. The instructions were all for their old models. When plugged into my computer, it worked for a second or two and then distorted the volume to the point that it decreased on its own. I turned the volume up and then the headset and computer turned it down to zero. In the end I was very disappointed with this headset.
