Review on Small ThunderEase Anti-Anxiety Pheromone Collar For Calming Dogs by Boondo Viswanathan

Didn't believe it would work but desperately needed something to help with Florida thunderstorms. Our German Shepherd is deathly afraid of just the wind, let along thunderstorms, which are new to him since we moved to Florida. In the past, had to give him prescription sedatives just for the wind. Thought ThunderEase Calming collar was at least worth a try. Was hoping for even a little bit of help with his anxiety. Totally surprised with how well this worked.Most of the time when wearing the collar, he is much more calm and not crawling all over us (all 95# of him!). Last night had a severe thunderstorm/lightening that lasted all night. The collar helped, but since the storm was so bad, had to also give him 1/2 dose of sedative. This is much better than giving him double doses that it use to take to calm him down!Don't know if it will work for every dog, but the groomer told use there is a Weaton Terrier with severe storm anxiety and it works like a charm for him also.I would recommend putting the collar on ahead of the storm so that it has a chance to warm up and release the pheromones. If we have several days of storms predicted, we just leave it on. He swims with it on and there have been no issues.This is my boy in the morning after the storms, just relaxing in his chair.
