This French press says: "Vacuum-layered double-wall construction. The inner wall keeps coffee and tea warmer for longer while the outside feels cool. Mostly not true! I have a vacuum coffee mug that actually feels cool to the touch even when filled with hot, hot coffee, so I know it's possible. But not for this product! As soon as you add hot water, the outside of the pot gets quite hot, almost too hot to touch, which of course means heat is being transferred to the outside, and that explains why it doesn't stay hot for very long. To be fair, it stays hot longer than a standard single-wall French press, but not as long as most vacuum flasks hold heat.
