I needed a baking thermometer and ordered it. The reading time is very quick, allowing me to read quickly and pop my pastries back into the oven without much heat loss. The probe has a smaller tip, making it easier to pierce the loaf or steak for quick measurements. The numbers are large and easy to read. When you flip open the probe, the device turns on automatically—to turn off, simply flip the probe back. You can set the temperature and switch between F° and C°. A small scale is printed on the back, which shows the ideal temperature for eating. The battery cover is easy to open with a coin or nickel. Overall I am very satisfied with this product.
