After trying to make this cutter work I gave up. From the beginning I never managed to get the same thickness from bar to bar. I put a bar of soap in the cutter and cut off the first piece. Cut out the second and third without removing it. Immediately noticed that there is a problem. The first strip was thinner than the next two. This resulted in the soap being wasted because it was too small. I tried to work around this by inserting a spacer. Unfortunately that didn't help either. There are too many games in slot machines. I tried using two dough knives and leaving one knife in place so as not to move the soap loaf. I have moved the router. I ended up buying a more expensive single wire cutter for a little over triple the price and downgraded this cutter from 4 stars to 3 stars. If you want professional results, buy a wire cutter. I would be careful not to wash it. Do this only when necessary. If you do this I would recommend that you wipe it down with a wet rag rather than soaking it. Rinse with a spray bottle and dry immediately. This is laminated bamboo, so there is a risk of delamination if you soak it in water.
