Review on Teva Flatform Universal Chara Black Women's Athletic Shoes: Comfort and Style Combined by Brian Healy

Almost perfect for high arches

These shoes are soft enough to conform to the shape of your foot but not too soft to tire your shins and ankles with prolonged wear. At the same time, there are two shortcomings. The first is more serious. If you have a high arch, you most likely know that you tend to put all of your weight on your heels because you don't have a constant connection to the balls of your feet. The shape of this shoe doesn't compensate for this uneven weight distribution, which gives you the feeling of walking uphill most of the time as the heel falls under the ball of the foot. The shape of the wedge in this shoe is better for people with a high arch. Second, there are colors. I always find it strange when shoe companies don't make simple shoes in attractive colors. I would like to see it in navy blue, blush or red. I'm certainly not smitten with the navy blue stripe on the black sole and a few navy blue accents mixed with orange gold, pink and teal in a weird pattern. I chose that, but only because there was no color other than black where the crazy pattern wasn't appropriate. I'd still buy them again, but if Teva ever comes up with a slightly larger wedge in this one, I'd buy them all.
