Review on πŸ“ž Enhanced AGPtEK Corded Telephone with Binaural Headset & Dialpad - Noise Cancellation for Home Call Center Office by David Batte

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Comfortable dual-speaker headset

Many of the headsets I found only had one speaker (1 earmold), but this still allows outside noise to compete with the voice on the phone. I've found that the two speakers (both earbuds) block out outside noise, allowing me to hear the conversation better. I had no complaints about the audio quality on the other end, so I assume it works fine. The mic swivels to the side if needed, and the mic leg bends so you can control how close/far it is from your mouth when attached. The only time I was told they couldn't hear me was when I didn't turn the mic back on. The base station does NOT require a battery, it is powered by low voltage from the telephone line itself. It shows the date/time and duration of the current call. I have noticed that the date/time sometimes resets to 01/01/2009. Interestingly, you can reset the date manually, but even if I don't, the phone somehow determines the time and month/day (but not the year) (over the phone line?). For example it now says 6/24/09 (don't know how it gets the month and day but not the year). Again, you can reset the date/time manually, but I don't usually worry anymore. That's the only oddity I noticed on the phone. All buttons are on the base (not on the headset) and all work well; The base station has a full numeric keypad, mute button and call answer/end button. (And a few others that I hardly used (redial/flash/hold/pause). I use this phone a lot to attend work meetings from home. I usually answer calls, but I don't make a lot of calls, so do I don't like some of these features. The headset connects to the base via something similar to an RJ11 jack rather than a standard stereo jack, so you probably won't be able to use other headsets with this phone (not sure if there's an adapter for stereo on RJ11 there?) All Overall, no complaints with this phone

Pros
  • ♦ Phone powered -- Use the included cable to connect the keypad to your home phone line. When you make a call, you need to press the power button on the dial pad. Please note that this phone is NOT a cordless phone.
