I ordered this adapter to play Wii and Wii U games on my computer monitor while streaming to Twitch. There is significant latency between the console and my streaming software, making playback nearly impossible, but my capture card sends the signal to a different HDMI output. My monitors only have VGA and DVI inputs, so this adapter allows for lag-free gaming and streaming. The adapter is light, the connections are good, and I don't see any noticeable loss in signal quality, at least it can't be explained by a simple conversion to VGA.
