Review on 🚫 Acer C720 Chromebook (11.6-Inch, 2GB) No Longer Available from Manufacturer by Jay Williams

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Former MacBook Pro and Windows Laptop user and I've completely switched to a Chromebook

As a former MacBook Pro and Windows Laptop user I was very skeptical about the switch at first. Over 26 months later and I really like this little Chromebook. It still works and I paid about 1/10th the price of my wife's fancy MacBook Pro. My mouse gets stuck about twice a year and when that happens I just reboot and it's like rain. The browser also crashes, maybe once a month or so, and usually requires a restart again (refresh button + power button). Restarting this thing seriously takes 10 seconds. I like having many tabs open at the same time and I was afraid it wouldn't work due to lack of memory. I've found it crashes when I browse about 20-24 tabs, but I've found that knowing that I can stay under that number of tabs, so it wasn't a problem at all. I continue to manage family finances on my Chromebook, just like I used to on my Windows laptop, through my Microsoft One drive combined with Excel Online. Is free. I have a spreadsheet to track my small business's sales and expenses, also in the cloud, and everything works fine. All for less than $200 over 2 years ago. And if he dies tomorrow, I'll buy a new one, log in, and thanks to cloud storage, I'll have everything at hand again. I went from being a skeptic to a big believer. I feel like most companies need to make a change because they're just burning their money buying more expensive machines and spending a lot of time and money backing up data so it doesn't get lost when everything is on a Chromebook is automatic. I know this machine is no longer made but I love this machine so much I thought I should give it a glowing review as it has served me so well and is still running without the slightest hint of a problem.
