Review on Vie Long Professional Shaving Wooden Handle by Jocelyn Hernandez

I'm in love with this brush. The bristles have a surprisingly stiff backbone, making the shaving soap surprisingly comfortable to use. Much like a boar brush, this brush picks up the perfect amount of water to make the lather very light. Bristle softness is softer than boar and pure/better badger, but more scratchy than super badger and above. I actually find that a horsehair brush has the perfect softness, like a good broken boar brush. I was scared reading other reviews about the smell but to my surprise it didn't smell as bad as others say. The smell disappeared after washing the brush and the first shave. If I could explain what the smell is like, it would be very similar to the smell of leather. While I'm not affiliated with an animal rights group, it's still nice to know that an animal survives to make this quality brush. The brush is made in the world famous land of horses. The horses are clipped regularly and I shave every morning with my careless brush.
