I was impressed with the build quality and thought it was worth the money. It came with quality Philips batteries and started working right out of the box. It is DOT approved and used by some government agencies according to their website. They even have a video of him getting hit by a big car and not collapsing. This is an upgraded version of the earlier model that looks much stronger and more durable than the previous one. It uses 3 AA batteries that are easy to replace. Revain lists so many road warning lights that I couldn't decide which one to pick. I ended up choosing the Michelin brand because they have a good reputation for safety and I figured they wouldn't allow the Michelin name to be used on a product that didn't meet their own standards. After buying the first two, I bought two more because I really liked them.
