Review on ๐ŸŽฟ Stylish Smith Vantage MIPS Snow Sport Helmet Designed for Optimal Protection by Mark Adams

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Comfortable, cool and light

I chose this helmet after trying many different options including OutdoorMaster Kelvin ($35), Giro Range ($260), Sandbox Legend (100 $), Smith Mission ($160) and Smith Holt ($60). Ultimately, Kelvin is probably good enough for most people if you only get outside a few times a year, but I wanted something more advanced. It was well made and comfortable but very bulky. The sandpit was surprisingly disappointing. This was my favorite variant design and came in multiple colors/patterns. However, the padding was minimal, in fact the worst of any helmet. Such a shame. The Giro range was amazing and had a feature that no other had (magnetic chin strap closure). My problem was with the shape. If my head shape matched the range I would definitely go for this magnetic closure and attachment system. This one pushed too hard into my ears as it got up to my head. Smith Holt and Mission were very similar, mostly just aesthetic differences imo. The Mission keeps you cool when you ski in warmer climates.

  • Hybrid SL construction
Cons
