I was NEVER a soap dish. I avoided it at all costs, for the dry, "sticky", overly clean feel it leaves, and also for my association that all bar soaps have an intense, nose-irritating smell (I mean Irish Springs). Bath and Body Works shower gel has been my favorite for over ten years and I always wear scents. So why did I buy unscented soap? The answer might be TMI: I have chronic yeast infections that cause severe skin problems and irritation on my ladies. If you didn't want to read this, be honest: they happen, they're common, and men can get them too. Anyway, I've never used body wash in this area because I've heard it can wreak havoc on sensitive skin and microflora balance (which it can!), but then my doctor recommended unscented white bar soap (and ONLY white soap unscented). bar of soap) as a safe way to clean the area of irritants. Dove was the first thing that came to mind as a 'good' bar of soap, so I bought a two-component fragrance-free soap. Not only does soap work wonders for this problem, it also doesn't leave you feeling soapy. ! The moisturizing element really works and the lather is quite luxurious. It has a really faint nutty natural soap scent but that's to be expected and I really like it. Then I found it worked great for washing my sensitive face without drying it out, so I use it on my makeup-free days to save on my more expensive toner. Then I discovered that this soap does a great job removing makeup! THEN I found that it cleans my makeup brushes like a dream and leaves them super soft afterwards! I then found it to be effective as a shaving soap/cream with its moisturizing element and smooth lather. Then I realized that if I plan on wearing perfumes outside of my Bath and Body Works collection and don't need a conflicting scent for my body wash, being fragrance-free is great. I thought two packs would last me forever, but the first bar I opened two weeks ago was already about a third broken. This soap slipped into my life and took over. I can't imagine being without it now.
