I bought it based on reviews and was initially happy with it. However, now after 4 months it has failed and Winter wants me to send it to California (from Florida) for inspection/service. I can't believe this is the only option. Buyers beware if you ever need service. Update: After several email exchanges with Whynter CS my only option is really to have it shipped to CA at my expense. I do not have the original packaging, so I have to pay for the packaging of this item. After thinking about the cost and hassle I decided to throw it away and in the future buy from dealers who have repair facilities to ship the tech to your home or at least suggest a local repair shop. This is an absolutely ridiculous decision for the end user.
