I needed to fix a couple of deck chairs and knew there had to be some kind of tool as the chairs won't fit my sewing machine. After a long search on google I found this quick sewing awl. Thought it would be easy to use, ordered it and waited until the last minute to fix the chairs. Spring. After failing 3 times, I watched the YouTube video (3 times) and FINALLY got it. I usually learn faster but here was the study time that took time. It was worth the time as I was able to fix the sunbeds and they are probably sturdier now than when they were new. This awl comes with 2 needles: the straight one I used and one with a curve. There is only one spool of filament in the kit, but I would suggest ordering a spare spool to have on hand in case you finish a job in the middle of a project.
