Years ago I had this gate that served me well as a child. Need a new one for my old friend who suffers from separation anxiety. The design has changed, and not for the better. The biggest complaint is the sloping sides. Leaves a gap for the dog to stick its nose through and squeeze through. The legs are not as long as they used to be. My crazy friend might knock it over right now. He is 17 pounds. Not a big dog! The width is large and easily adjustable. This is a beautiful gate and high quality finish. For a more secure fit, you just need to tweak the design a bit. An extra pair of feet in the middle would help a lot too.
