In short, if you need a portable pet gate, which is what these folding gates are for, I would recommend most people of average strength to look for something lighter. More specifically: the main reason I'm leaving a review here is to let others know that this is a really heavy "portable" pet gate, so not very manoeuvrable at all; if you plan to move it as often as we need, for example if you need to block a room during the day and clean at night or vice versa, or if you need a room to move from room to room - It's too heavy Doing this comes in handy if you are not very strong. I'm pretty strong, but I wouldn't want to try to move it on my own many times a day - I'd get angry at best and hurt at worst. But if you're buying them to put in one place and leave there, these gates might do the trick - the design is nice and they appear to be more durable than slatted timber gates, although the wood is actually less durable than it appears on the market first look (tends to chips).
