Not So Picture Perfect: A Review of The Mona Lisa & The Scream Costume
When we stumbled upon this costume idea for Halloween, my partner and I couldn't resist. The iconic paintings made for a unique and exciting couples costume. However, the execution was not quite on par with our expectations. While the Mona Lisa portion of the costume was well-constructed and easily recognizable, the mask for The Scream left much to be desired. It was flimsy and poorly made, causing it to constantly shift and fall off during the night. Additionally, the lack of creativity in the design left us feeling underwhelmed. On the positive side, the costume was comfortable to wear and received a fair amount of attention from other party-goers. Overall, we were satisfied with our purchase and had a fun time portraying these famous pieces of art. However, we would recommend finding a better quality Scream mask to truly complete the look.
- Easy to wear: Unlike other elaborate costumes, this one is relatively easy to put together. The Mona Lisa half of the costume consists of a simple frame and dress, while The Scream half requires only a mask and black outfit. It's also conveniently available for purchase as a set, so you don't have to spend time and effort searching for separate pieces
- It may not be very practical or comfortable to wear all night due to cumbersome frames and materials used for the costumes
