IF you can get a signal that's good

I really like the smaller display compared to the 7 inch versions available. I read all the reviews and paid special attention to the ones that describe how well it works with longer trailers. The picture is nice and clear, especially on a small screen. It has better color and sharpness than my tractor's stock rear view camera. It looks like the monitor can receive signals from 2 cameras. Routing the power cable in the cabin was easy and unobtrusive. However, I didn't really like it. The signal would often hang up, then disappear completely and never come back as I drove down the road. I bought my own better antennas and also contacted the seller who sent me a wire/extension antenna. None of them helped improve reception. In fact, the one the seller sent made it even worse. I ended up returning it to Revain and opted for the hardcoded setting instead. There is no lag or signal loss. This is the second wireless backup camera system I've tried - both with disappointing results. About my setup: GMC Sierra pickup and 35ft trailer. Camera mounted camera antennas, wire/extension antennas on trailer rear bumper, roof mounted, under trailer frame mounted, almost everywhere.
