. I liked the idea that it was wireless and the camera could be moved from the hitch to anywhere else on the truck. However, when there was a stutter, the image on the monitor was static and unusable. Based on another review I decided to add an extension. One with the correct connectors was available on E-Bay. If you go this route, be careful. Most connections on extension cords are RP-SMA (reverse polarity). This setup requires normal (non-RP) SMA connections. If you buy a SMA male/female cable, you don't need any other connectors. For my truck I needed a 20 foot cable. The antenna was positioned close enough to the camera in the coupler to produce a very good to excellent image. Shipping the cable cost me $20. So add that to your purchase price if you want to go that route. Incidentally, I covered the back of the clutch with a homemade plexiglass case, which provides excellent weather protection.
