I got this for my son's 11th birthday but I want to keep it to myself. He has autism so he doesn't know many songs but I think he'll love the lights and the voice echo feature. It's a good weight and the instructions and assembly are easy to understand. I immediately jumped onto YouTube to sing a few songs. You need to keep the microphone close enough to your mouth while singing. I always sound amazing in karaoke bars after a few cocktails, but when I'm home sober I'm not sure if my voice is as good as I thought it would be! Maybe I should try again if I have a drink or two while it's charging and update my review afterwards. It's a cool piece for the price and the whole family will likely enjoy it at his birthday party. I recommend.
