This camera is poorly designed for small children because: They can't see through the viewfinder. The default when turned on is the rear camera, which means we have hundreds of photos of half my baby's face. The photo you just took is not shown on the display. You have to go from camera to menu and gallery to see your shot, so young photographers won't have fun. Response to all button presses is slow and buggy. Image quality is poor (which is understandable, this is a kid's camera). ). The strap is adult-sized so the camera hangs on a small child's lap. The first camera we were given didn't even work so we were disappointed to find a replacement which was so upsetting for my 3 year old. . It will definitely be easier for older children, perhaps more like 6 years old rather than 3 years old as stated on the product page. I will say that it is very durable. It's been played and thrown fairly roughly a few times and still works well.
