First, the instructions are completely useless. I had to read reviews to figure out how to set it up. Now that you've found the strings and untangled them a bit, open the first movement a little and tug on the strings. And just keep repeating until they're all stacked. He'll tell you to tie the knot once you're done. Don't make that little mistake I made. I simply tied the knot and trimmed off the excess and it started unfurling. When you're done, tie everything in a knot like it's a bouquet. And voila! There were no instructions for small tapes. Also just unravel them. You will find two thinner strings to pull on. If you notice on them - such indentations on each side from time to time. Start at the top and clamp them up by pulling the rope. Repeat and do this with the other one until the band is formed. You may have to play around with it a bit to see how you like it. If you don't like it, just stretch it back and try again. And the same with the knot, tie it to fix it. Hope that helps.
