When one of my cooker hood's sockets failed after 11 years I was happy to find an inexpensive replacement block. Local electronics stores charge three times more per item. The exchange was quick and easy and works great. This unit replaces both outlets. The light sockets are connected by wires, so after removing the access cover, unplug the old unit, remove the light sockets, insert and plug in the new unit and reinstall the access cover, screw in the bulbs and voila! Finished. This is helpful if you have someone holding the access panel, but if not, use tape to secure the panel so you can tackle this quick and easy DIY project.
