This isn't the cheapest cheeseboard, but it's good quality for the money. It was packaged very well and looks great. It had a strange smell when first opened, but after washing the board and accessories, the smell went away. One of the knives was covered in a polishing paste that could not be removed at the factory but was easily washed off. In general I am satisfied with the purchase and I think it will be a good gift.
