Yes, this mouse comes with a dongle, but on my Dell XPS 17 9700 the Blue Tooth connection worked perfectly, so I was able to leave the dongle in the handy carrying slot under the top cover of the mouse. I am surprised that it is not clearly written that the key is NOT required. Hooray!
