In normal weather I liked this camera cage. but with gloves in cold weather I could never reach the mode dial ie 1/2/3/movie mode so I ended up switching to a more conventional L-clamp. I'm still trying this SmallRig design as I love the concept and need something similar to hang my Atomos Ninja V when using the digital mic on the Sony a7s-m3. I don't know what SmallRig could do for cold weather and people with large gloved hands. So I don't blame them. My other wish is that the bottom of the mount is compatible with the Swiss Arca. it is not. Yes, you can screw on the Swiss Arca plate from below, but it's difficult to tighten. And this is a hybrid camera, ie. photo and video. This way you can do landscape/portrait like with a traditional L-Bracket (Swiss Arca mounts left and bottom). And then the ability to make videos with the installation of things on the camera. that is the ideal. I think SmallRig went for it like a traditional video camera. not a hybrid camera that can do everything because it can do everything.
