Either my dog is oddly proportioned (it's not), or there are some odd dogs. The type of dog suited to this environment has the smallest head and longest body. I assume a sausage could work, but I doubt it. Also, the strap was huge and dragged across the floor. I understand there are many sizes and shapes and not being able to try this on my dog results in a poor buying experience on my part, but I would be surprised to know which dog would fit. The straps on the hind legs were uncomfortable and only got pee as they also dragged across the ground. I've tried fitting it to my dog by cutting the neck to make it bigger, cutting the strap to make it smaller, and cutting the back leg straps, but it was still uncomfortable for my dog and has it easy not done not fit. I would bring it back, but apparently I just couldn't "get it to work folks" with my Project Runway styling changes. The design was very nice and just what I wanted and the weather protection worked well but after I cut it not so well (holes). I thought about getting a small one and cropping the neckline again, but didn't want to spend another order (and money) if that didn't work. I hope this works for your dog, but definitely not for mine.
