The fabric is light, stretchy and very soft. This ensures a good fit that does not irritate the skin or beard. They breathe fairly easily, although they don't feel heavy. Plus they look cool. These are by far the best socks I've found. I often ride and wear it between my helmet and jacket to protect my neck. They do their job well, don't flap in the wind as the elastic fabric is quite dense. Waving clothes on a motorcycle drives me insane. I've also used them for other activities like gardening and lately served as my mask against the pandemic. They work wonders when mowing lawns in dry weather. It's been dry here in Wisconsin, but the grass is still growing. When I mow, it kicks up a lot of dust and shit. It gets in your eyes, nose, mouth, beard, shirt, etc., but they help keep all the dirt out (except in my eyes, of course).
