Prompt delivery, good value - but you get what you pay for. Looks good when used as a standard plate, but the construction and fit is inferior. The top filter plate and washer do not fit together tightly, so the pressure of the steam pushing the water through the ground coffee isn't enough to force out all of the ground coffee's aroma. It would also be useful to have an indicator/marker in the upper chamber to tell us where the coffee should go when the lower chamber is empty. It appears to be almost 1 inch below the center spout. Continuing to heat the lower chamber while waiting for the coffee level to rise even more may result in a fire/overheating of the lower chamber. I know that the amount of water going through the coffee depends on it; Type of coffee, degree of grinding, filling level of the coffee basket and atmospheric air pressure, but a rough guide can help.
