Merell hiking shoes fit my foot so well that I bought them when I needed a casual shoe that would go well with jeans. They're a bit narrower than hiking boots and the buckles feel weird at first, but once they're in they feel nice. These are not trekking shoes. It seemed obvious to me from the pictures. I don't know why they are sold as running shoes. Maybe to sell them to people who like the idea of hiking, who don't actually hike but still want to make a fashion statement. don't want to try. But I like shoes. They look good and I've had several compliments on them. Have a nice day.
