My home automation system has motion sensors and in the middle of the night it turns on the lights when you get up to go to the bathroom. We were heading out of town for a long trip and needed something similar. These are simple little LED motion sensors that solved my problem for a pretty cheap price. They appear with just the right amount of movement, even in total darkness. They are fairly bright and if you want less light you can cut out a small paper shade to fit inside the shade. Because they are LED, they do not generate heat, so the paper is safe. For me I'm used to the brightness and that's okay. The review had stars for Night Vision and I gave it 5 stars because you can see at night when it's on. No, they do not allow you to see in the dark. If you're looking for a relatively inexpensive motion-activated lighting solution, I recommend it.
