Review on πŸ’ CHI Ellipse 1 1/2" Hairstyling Curling Wand in Sleek Black - Effortless Waves & Bouncy Curls by Christina Snyder

Nice natural volume

When I was in Europe, I discovered an oval stick for the first time. They're a lot cheaper there, and I don't understand why every oval stick is stupidly expensive here. Luckily I got it on sale. I would never pay full price for it. Although it works fine. I have very straight, fine, long hair. I bought it to get some volume. The oval curling iron is not designed to create bouncy curls, so if that's what you're looking for, don't buy this curling iron. It gives me very natural waves and gives my hair nice volume. When I want more natural curls/waves I use this wand. One day I will try to post a tutorial because there is a trick to using it. To avoid the wrinkling everyone is talking about, hold your wand down and wrap your hair more loosely than you would with a regular wand. Let's sit down and gently pull the wand up and out, causing the hair to fall in a downward spiral. Since my hair is so straight I have to adjust the wand to rent and use 380. I feel like 400 is too hot for hair as thin as mine. But experiment with the settings and don't forget to apply a heat protectant spray to your hair first. Curls always fall in a more natural wave. Again, if you're looking for big curls, this isn't your thing. I love the different look it gives me! I will try to update with photos or video at some point.
