Battery-operated external emergency lighting. The inspector accepts them if they work, but one of them came in an open box, turned on but not off. The replacement solved the problem but I had to pay an electrician to reinstall so we could get the title deed. I was disappointed that what appeared to be a returned light had been sent to me. At least it's relatively inexpensive and acceptable to the inspector if it works.
