Stick with Original Cyalume

Have been using these for years when they first came out in the late 70's? Or was it the 80s. Cyalumes' commitment to quality chemicals and quality control makes them (in my opinion) longer and brighter than Korean and Chinese knockoffs.

Pros
  • Great overall performance
Cons
  • Has flaws

Very low light, ideal for camping and hiking

They are tiny and emit very, very little light. I bought 50 and taped them to my team's paintball goggle straps during game nights so we could tell friend from foe. In the light of the full moon we still couldn't see each other's lights beyond 15 feet. We should have used a little more. Also "red" is more like purple.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • There is nothing here

Miniature chemical lantern in the Safety and Survival Department

Cute little chemical lanterns. They are good for marking things in the dark. Sometimes they are used to illuminate gun sights, but I use them to illuminate dog collars on night walks. I attached a piece of rubber tubing to her collar and stuck a flashlight into the end of the tubing. I can see him about 80 meters away. They last at least 4 hours.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Almost everything is fine

Old stock Woodcrest Ace Hardware

Ordered from Woodcrest Ace Hardware so ignore this if buying from another seller. I received what appeared to be a genuine Cyalume product, but most of it has the expiry date on it. already over. They are marked as expiring on 03/2017 (in 4 months); Most of my other third-party chemicals expire in 2018 or later.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Not sure

Click and light, Millitary Spec glowsticks.

I've been using these for years, I use them and the larger Calum brand bulbs for all sorts of things, get creative, activate the green and cut it open, rub your body and run like a hulk spots Imagine at night that you have been exposed to toxic waste. Use for outdoor recreation, use indoor for emergencies or for fun. A small stick is good for marking the trail at night, large sticks eliminate a large dark area, I generally find green best for lighting purposes and the glow time, I often go into

Pros
  • Shipping was very fast
Cons
  • Crumpled
