I had shelves I made and never used, perfect fit for this set of rails. I recently got a fancy push a button to elevate a desk to insane heights. but it had the motor rail mechanism about 11 inches in. I tried one of those fancy swivel adjustable keyboard mounts, but since I had the above issue, I mounted the track 90° from recommended design, and it just bounces a lot when typing.got these rails (12"), absolutely perfect fit. mounted tray on rails, marked where the screws would go. drilled pilot holes, and used provided screws to mount tray. nice thing is even if I had made the keyboard tray deeper, it still had enough height from the brackets, It would clear the bar under the desk.if you have one of those motorized desks with the casing I described, and must have a keyboard tray underneath, just get it.only (non)issue with no points lost. the rails do have a bumplock when closed, to hold it closed. I would like the same for the fully extended position. just a wishlist item. all bearings were properly greased and intact.
