Paired with a Manfrotto 504 head, this thing is incredibly smooth. I've used a solid metal slider on much heavier cameras in the past, so the difference in weight is night and day. I was able to take detailed product shots (videos) with impressive smoothness at long focal lengths (100-200mm macro) without in-camera or lens stabilization. Especially considering the price. Note: Be sure to select the shortest track size if you plan to install in the middle. We attached it to the base with two screws on a long tripod plate. This makes the connection point very stable. For €100 that's no problem. When it comes to sliders, I've found that a simple design is better. Less weight, fewer components to break.
