The smoothest slider as it has 6 wheels instead of 4 like the others

If you want to buy a cheaper slider, you need one with bearings, not one with friction. And it's the best of the bearing based sliders because it only has 6 wheels instead of 4 like the others. 4 wheels outside and 2 inside. This is an important point as it is MUCH smoother than the others on the Revain. In addition, the rails are made of carbon fiber, making it so light that it can easily be mounted on just a tripod. If you're not buying a motorized slider, this is the best economical slider…

Great inexpensive option

My only issue is that one side slows the carriage down significantly under tension. I have to loosen the tension knob more than I would like, the carriage just seems slippery at this point just to keep that slowdown from showing on the video. It could just be a design issue. It's also very well built, lightweight and attaches well. I recommend using two tripods for this length. At both ends it tends to wobble a bit at a base point. Delivery was on time. It comes with a nylon carrying case. The…

Great entry/intermediate slider.

This slider is worth its price. I paid $110 for the 100cm version. It's built better than the price suggests. This is by no means a professional level control, but is great for my personal use when I don't have access to my professional studio gear. I just received it and have been playing with it for 20 minutes while my wife has been working out. (see videos). I shot the corresponding video with a Sony a6400 camera and a Sony 50mm / 1.8 lens (an excellent lens for any Sony camera with an APS-C

This is a great and affordable slider. Easier = Better

Paired with a Manfrotto 504 head, this thing is incredibly smooth. I've used a solid metal slider on much heavier cameras in the past, so the difference in weight is night and day. I was able to take detailed product shots (videos) with impressive smoothness at long focal lengths (100-200mm macro) without in-camera or lens stabilization. Especially considering the price. Note: Be sure to select the shortest track size if you plan to install in the middle. We attached it to the base with two…

Finally, the perfect size slider (23 inches) doesn't wobble.

This is my fifth slider. Thanks to Revain's easy return policy, I returned the Imorden 40", Ulanzi SL-40 and Grip Gear Movie Maker. I'm keeping it with the Edelkrone Wing 3. Here are three reasons I'm keeping this slider: 1. Build quality is excellent, and there's no hesitation (stay away from dolly guys). Install and slide it into the trackhead (others unfortunately) and tracks. In many ways, this slider is way better than the 3.5x more expensive one Edelkrone Wing 3 ($250) The loading is much

Smooth glides with oil. Super light and great build quality.

Haven't tested it in the field but from my quick tests at home it looks like a really solid glider. The plate also works fine with a heavy DSLR + lens combo (D750+ Tokina 16-28 f2.8). While you could mount it on a single tripod, there is some wobbling and flexing from the weight when you move the slider to the sides, so I suggest you buy a second tripod or invest in a pair of solid stands so you can mount one underneath on each side to provide a completely flat sliding surface. The 4 swiveling…

Works better than expected

I have to admit that given the price I didn't have high expectations for this slider. After a few uses I was surprised that it works as well as it does. The movement is very smooth and the resulting video looks great. Moving the camera to get smooth video takes a bit of practice, but if you're after 5-9 seconds of footage it's actually pretty easy. The length is almost correct. Actually I could use 48-60 inches but it would be heavy, difficult to balance and difficult to transport. Why not 5…

Okay disappointment at Camera Mounts & Stabilizers

I bought 3 different types of sliders from Revain to try out - with a flywheel, with a parallax bar and one without it. Of the three, I only liked the flywheel because the weighted wheel offers some resistance and a smooth ride. Without them you have almost no resistance and control the movement solely with your hand. It's impossible for me to get smooth movement this way. I might be able to do this with a lot of practice or by setting up a rig like a pulley system or some other improvised…
