READ THIS BEFORE INSTALLING THE HEAD

When installing the head gasket on my 2002 Dodge Ram 2500 5.9L 24 valve I ran into a clearance problem as I couldn't get the rear studs in. I had to bring my head forward and ended up pre-inserting socketed studs as temporary spacers. (see photos). This solved the installation problem.
