I have a mid (5.1) surround sound system that sounds great in my wide but flat living room and when I put on these headphones it really does look like I've got that system in right now 7.1 transformed system, the only difference is that I have ear cups now. You can hear clearly in all directions. Absolutely impressed with these things. They are comfortable, the mic turns off when held upright with the headband on and sounds crystal clear when on! Although it's a bit pricey, if you want real sound, bite the bullet and get them, you won't be disappointed!
