I bought a size 10-11 for my 10 year old thinking she was tall as she has a small waist and wears a size 8 in old navy.

Surprisingly it fits her and has room to grow but I don't have to adjust the waist despite the slight gap. This skirt is thick and smooth, almost scuba like (but not like) and well made! It looks so cute on her! (Ignore the measurements, my daughter is 50 inches tall, weighs 65 pounds, and has a waist of about 21 inches.
