I bought this bag and used it as a backpack/purse on vacation. In general, it turned out very well. Side pockets for medium to large sized water bottles. Pros - Wallet fits very discreetly in the front pocket. It was impossible to tell that this is a separate part. In addition, the shoulder straps of both bags are removable. Many pockets - both with and without zippers. The side-opening pocket on the back is very handy for keeping important items close to you, yet easily accessible. Cons - after about 5 days the stitching at the top of the handle ripped. (see picture) The bag was full but never overstuffed (which was difficult to zip up) and never had more than 15 pounds in it. Disappointing as this could have been avoided with extra reinforcement stitching as this is the main stress point for all the weight and the descriptions say all stitching is reinforced. I contacted the company and they replaced the bag. The new bag worked well and I had no problems.
