I highly recommend them for puppies. Our 4 month old pup loves them. My girlfriend and I bought these a few weeks ago after trying milk bones, which our pup didn't seem to recognize as food (not surprising given how soft and hard they seem). However, he liked these pieces of liver immediately. We cut each nugget into about half a dozen pieces (they're crumbly so it's not exact) and use them whenever the pup needs a treat or encouragement. If you separate the nuggets, you lose a significant portion of each; they are very brittle. We sprinkle crushed powder over his food to add flavor, but it's hard to use as a treat. However, it's easy to whip up a few nuggets for the day. We love that they are made from a single food ingredient as we don't have to worry about our pup getting sick from too much food (unless we overdo it). Initially, the price for the weight seemed high, but that's not as important as it sounds because: 1) they're freeze-dried, so they have a low density, and 2) they're so tasty, you can use small pieces for treats. 3) Puppies REALLY like them so you can expect a good reaction with them. All in all, I think this is a better deal than most supposedly cheaper treatment options. I will definitely buy another pack when the current one is gone.
