I had a 4th Gen iPod which my dear friends gave me as a gift. I used to use it a lot, but it stopped working and sat in a box for years. It was 20 GB, which was a lot of storage space at the time. Call me a "dinosaur" but I still prefer to own my own music and organize it in folders with various playlists I've created. It's great to have an iPod so I can plug it into my car and listen to the same music I listen to at home. I find it wonderful, especially when travelling. I decided to fix a non-working ipod; So I bought a new battery, a CY card adapter, a Type I compact flash card adapter and a 200GB SD card. First I replaced the battery. I then replaced the drive with an SSD using adapters and an SD card. Youtube has instructions on how to do this. After completion I charged it and. to my surprise it worked great. Now I have a 200GB iPod. It's possible to increase the storage even more by adding a higher quality SD drive, but 200GB is enough for me, at least for now.
