I bought this as supplemental lighting for a 24 inch 15 gallon aquarium. Even before I wired it up, I was disappointed that the actual LED strip only ran 17" in the 22 3/4" long housing. I bought this specifically to light up corners my 18" light went out can't reach the US. Well, the new light doesn't really hit the corners either. It's also a lot dimmer than expected. I hardly notice if it's on or off when my main light is on. The app is functional, but has few features (no sunrise/sunset/weather options) The timer seems to work well No issues in that department I think this would be a great plantless aquarium light that you would love to hook up to Alexa or a timer Otherwise is it too dark and i wouldn't recommend it it was cheap enough that i won't be going back update: faulty for about 6 months after purchase absolute rubbish light take your money elsewhere.
