I noticed that my mixed door (toggling between vents, feet and defrost on the top panel) was not working when switching between directions on the HVAC LED of the electronic control panel was a ceremony. I have a 2012 Chevy Traverse (LTZ) with dual zone automatic climate control and this actuator is for vent direction/mixed door NOT dual zone/temperature variation. This solved my problem, and note that the drive is behind the glove box (on the left) which you can see clearly, but the screws (Torx T-20 - 3 of them) are a bit hard to reach and require small hands and little ratchets. When installing a new one, be sure to unplug the HVAC fuse in the fuse box under the passenger footwell (under the dash) for a few minutes and turn on the vehicle to reset/relearn the driving positions after installation.
