slowdown. This cooling pad kept my laptop cool and staying fast. I have found that the airflow is greater when extended 2 feet. When using a desk, I can adjust the height so that the line from my elbow to my fingers stays straight; no wrist movement and it raises the screen so I'm looking straight at it. I have included photos showing how the 10 x 15 inch laptop sits perfectly on the stand without protruding and how the fans line up with the bottom of the laptop. I sometimes use it on my knees, but only the rim of the cooler sits on my hips, allowing airflow to be maximized. This is so much better than a hot computer on my feet! The 24 inch USB to USB cable powers the fans and the cable is good. I have another laptop that has the USB port on the right side and it fits snugly but perfectly as the 2 USB ports on the panel are on the left side. When connected to a computer, the second USB port on the cooling pad works for a wireless mouse and other needs, so I never lose a USB port while using it! Additional non-slip stickers were included with the stand. The left dial adjusts the airflow and the intensity of the RED LED. At the highest level, I don't really hear the fans. You cannot control the light and fan independently. I've had several cooling pads over the years, from the 1 fan to this 6 fan. This one is durable and keeps my laptop cool after hours of use. I'm happy!
